Connect Community

Connecting people. Strengthening communities. Creating change.

Connect in Teesside is a community-focused organisation created to make it easier for people and families across Teesside to access the right support at the right time.

We believe that no one should have to navigate mental health, relationships, parenting challenges or difficult life circumstances alone. Often, what makes the biggest difference is having the right person, service or community around you.

That’s why Connect brings together counsellors, therapists, community organisations and other local services to create a more connected network of support.

Our aim is to bridge the gap between people who need support and the organisations and professionals who can provide it — helping individuals and families feel heard, supported and connected.

Our approach

At Connect, we take a person-centred, relational and preventative approach. We recognise that wellbeing isn't just about what's happening inside an individual. Our relationships, families, communities and wider circumstances all play an important role.

We want to support people before difficulties reach crisis point, while also helping those who are already struggling to find appropriate, accessible support.

We are particularly passionate about supporting mums, parents, families and individuals experiencing emotional or relational difficulties, whilst working collaboratively with local professionals and organisations.

Why Connect?

Because connection matters.

Connection can reduce isolation, improve wellbeing and help people feel safer, more understood and better able to cope with life's challenges.

We want to build a Teesside where people know where to turn, who to speak to and that they don't have to face things alone.

Through partnerships, community work and a growing network of professionals, Connect is working to create a more accessible and joined-up approach to emotional wellbeing across Teesside.

Together, we can create stronger connections, healthier relationships and healthier communities.
